Solid hatches with transparency print as all black when sending AutoCAD-generated PDFs to physical (paper) printer

Plotting an AutoCAD drawing with hatch transparency to PDF causes a boundary to appear around the hatch. When this is printed, this boundary results to a black solid box/boundary. This behavior has been reported when printing PDFs to physical (paper) printers using: the Apple Preview app Microsoft
